The GOATS

Here be giants. Every year, every game, we must be thankful for the 11 (sometimes 10 if David Chalmers is busy getting the potatoes in) who give up their Saturday to pound the turf in search of wickets, a few runs, or even just a bit of fun.

Many legends have been born amongst the smoke of a thousand student barbecues on The Meadows; a story of personal triumph distilled into the crack of leather bouncing on the tennis court asphalt at Neilson Park; and all pretence of glory extinguished in a dimly lit garage at Meggetland amongst an insipid array of meal deals. Here are some of the greatest names (who have also happened to show up to the club AGM). For the full story, you’ll just have to make a few laps of the boundary with us.
