2021 Annual General Meeting.

Haddington Cricket Club held their first ever virtual Annual General Meeting, due to the coronavirus pandemic. The night was tremendously optimistic, well attended, and complimented by a quiz, in tribute to the first anniversary of questionable Zoom quizzes. Andy Bell took first prize, answering questions on the worst Test bowling averages of all time (step forwards Naeem Islam & Kevin Pietersen), coffee growing regions, and Haddington pubs.

The outcome is that the committee will be made up as follows, with a new addition of Mr Bell as Junior Convenor / Protection Officer, as the club look to re-establish a junior cricket team for East Lothian. We’ll be in touch for willing volunteers.

1xt XI Captain - Scott Logan
1st XI VC & T20 Captain - Peter Borrowman
Secretary - Alan Cruickshank
Apprentice Treasurer - Fergus Syme
(Very) Ordinary Member - Tim Blades

Autumnal Cricket

We have a fixture list, thanks to the hard working folks at ESCA. We look forward to rejoining friendly hostilities, at a safe distance, with our pals at Tranent & Preston Village, Dunbar & Musselburgh Cricket Clubs.

11 a side cricket returns! w/c 20th July 2020

Following some Cricket Scotland updates last week, and excellent work by the people at East of Scotland Cricket Association, we are delighted to announce we are returning to 11-a-side cricket, hopefully as soon as Saturday 26th July. This will take the form of intra-club (internal squad games) until early August.

Depending on numbers, we will run 8-a-side cricket or similar on midweek evenings or have net based training. Please join our Facebook group for regular updates & to indicate participation.

It’s great to be bringing sport back to Haddington, and be part of cricket in East Lothian, as we look forward to fixtures with Tranent & Preston Village, Musselburgh & Dunbar (potentially Bass Rock too).

HCC Are Back To Training! 29th June 2020

As of week commencing 29th June, Haddington Cricket Club will resume net based training sessions. For now, we are keeping these to three people per session, bowling machine only, with additional hygiene precautions. We are keeping to the Cricket Scotland and ESCA guidelines around return to cricket, and ask all members to respect this.

The committee are currently managing booking slots via our Facebook Group. If you’re interested, please request to join, or drop us a line via the contact page.
